Miserable Experience

Just awful customer service. They appear to be highly oversold. My database guy kept telling me that they were lying to me about the service they were offering, but I was in complete denial. When I finally moved, I realized he was right! If they had truly been delivering on their service guarantees, we would have had no problems. But instead, our pages took upwards of 20 seconds to load. And of course, whenever we opened tickets, they claimed that it was something wrong on our end. But once we moved, we started loading completely normally! Also, no phone service. They post a # but it tells you to use the ticket system. They close tickets almsot as soon as you open them, without responding. Boy, going back over this is just getting me madder and madder. Stay away. They do NOT value your business.

Recently started using hostv VPS after being their shared client for about nine months. Everything worked excellently, and I decided to upgrade account after having been grown out of the shared hosting. The fact hostv is giving soft procedure of upgrade, usable and user-friendly with no need to pay exta money except for the pricer of the account, made me stay.
Since I started using these guys as my provider, I have forgotten of the trouble like downtime and slowmotion. Audience seems also to be glad, making the site bigger. Which the site is being upgraded and maintained, I am here to write the review with the strong recommendation of hostv.com VPS.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!
I have never had a worst experience with a Hosting Company. They lost all of my accounts, and data and were unable to produce a backup. To make matters worse, they provided very poor support, with an average turnaround of about 2 days.

Started using hostv VPS accounts for my video portal about a year ago, and now I remain enjoyed. The service of highest quality and the support of the best professional level are the things I like this provider for.
The performance of the server my account is placed at is great, never down since the setup. There have been a few issues, but none was guilty, and everything's quickly resolved. Prices are of upper average for the VPS, but it is worth of every dollar.
I wish it remains so good further. Thanks HostV.

Bad support team and issues with firewall

First impressions with HostV VPS was not so pleasing.
It took them upto 12 hours after payment to get my VPS activated. After I got my VPS setup, I moved on to setting up security on the VPS and decided to install ConfigSecurity & Firewall (CSF) firewall on the VPS. And then it was disappointing again.

I notified the support team about this and it took them unacceptably long for them to inform me that CSF cannot be installed on their VPS and offered to install APF for me.
I have tried this with many other VPS providers and installing CSF was never a problem. I believe that CSF is the best firewall when it comes to a cPanel server and HostV\'s cPanel VPS does not have support for CSF. This is very embarrassing!!

I have been dealing with hostv for already three years since I established my site in 2006.
I have chosen the host as they were offering better conditions then and continue to be the best VPS provider now.
The host is being highly professional and stable. My site is always up and running fast.
I pay reasonable money for quality service which is offered by the professional team of HostV and do not even think of migrating, as having so great service I wish to have it all the time, and that is why I remain their client.
The support works good. Fast and clear replies come after minutes after sending ticket. And when I need a ASAP help, I can contact via live chat which also works well.
I believe this is one of the best VPS provider ever, highly recommended for everyone who likes quality.

After nearly two years of being a client of HostV I finally decided to say thanks by writing a review for this company.
The whole term I am with the host I am thinking I have made a correct choise when decided to get the hosting from them, not only because I pay reasonable money but also because I know that anytime I have problems the professionals from the support center are ready to give their help and most questions are solved very quickly.
I run an eCommerce business, and the reliability is very important for it, and hostv knows it as well, being up all the time, and giving stable fast network for my use.
The accounts are backuped, and the existance of cPanel at VPS makes the work with it really convenent and simple. Upload and download speed is high most of the time, and CPU of the server my site is on, is almost never overloaded, and thus I constantly have a great perfomance of the site and consequently - of all business.
Just excellent VPS provider. I recommend it very much.

HostV has provided quality and reliable service since I left PowerVPS. I have never had any issue with their customer support. The team at HostV is outstanding and I trust them with my small business site.
Their prices are great and I cannot ask for a better value when it comes to hosting.

I am a former customer of HostV. I had a Vps with them, but things did not work out. The Vps crashed a great deal, and the uptime was bad.
The good. You could not ask for a more dedicated group of customer service staff. I have been hosting for years, and the guys over there at support, are fast, efficient, and they are what most people should try to live up to. I expecially think Jeff did a great job, always showing geniune concern with getting issues resolved, and doing so in a timely manner. I can't say enough good stuff about him. The rest of the staff is equalally good and easy to work with, again very quick response time.
I do think the Vps was just problematic from the start, and that was 90% of the issue. If I had more time, or could of switch I think this might have fixed the issue, but I did not have the time right now for any downtime.
Would I use them again? For other websites I would. It's unfortunate that the server did not work out, but you could not ask for more top notch customer service, or customer service experience.
I would still recommend HostV even with all these problems on had on this server. Customer service is at the heart of good hosting, and they have the customer service down pat.

I had a VPS with them for a month
I have 2 words for them: STAY AWAY
Server down or crashed quite often, emails not reachable, really poor support, average 3-4 hours on ticket and 1 hours on forum (dead forum) just to ask your ticket number...
Slow performences.
way too expensive for this kind of services

I switched over to HostV 5 months back after sticking with the same provider for nearly 2 years. So far, the service has been phenomenal, and absolutely no problems at all (the only few get hammered down by support before I even find out - tricky bastards :p).

I previously had a Powervps account and at first I was hesitant to switch hosting companies, however, now I am glad I did! I have been with Hostv for half a year now and its great. HostV gives me more for my money and always has great deals, tech support is amazing, and they are always willing to help out. I would recommend HostV to anyone I know who needs a virtual server of any size. These guys are great, thanks for everything.
